In an effort to stay connected with our community both near and far during the pandemic, we created a collaborative series:

THE Stay Home Sessions.

This was a bi-monthly patch challenge promoting self expression through sound. Every two weeks during the summer of 2020, a new theme and/or criteria would commence. Artists who were interested in participating, created audio recording(s) using the suggested guidelines. All submissions were curated into a SoundCloud playlist at the end of each session. Artists were also encouraged to record videos to accompany their audio as well which were often shared and posted across social media.

Some artists only desire to participate once, while others created as many pieces as they wanted to. Songs could be simple live recordings, or fully produced compositions. There was virtually unlimited flexibility as far as production style goes.

These guidelines were meant to foster creative prompts and spark fun ideas for the artists. And many of them helped provide input on the themes and prompts as the sessions progressed.
